The Cult Of Victimology.

The Conservative interwebs are all up in arms about MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell putting an uninformed Palin supporter on the hot seat last week.

There's also a somewhat similar YouTube going around.

Some are even dredging up this Tea Party CNN clip as further proof of the liberal media bias.

Apparently it's not kosher to clown a clueless 17 year old (and an equally clueless TeaBagger), but it's just fine when it's the other way around.

Or this way...

Or this way...

Riiggghht.

Seriously, it should be of no surprise to anyone that roughly 90% of the country doesn't follow politics on any level until it's time to vote. Why we pretend that either party has the market cornered on morons is beyond me.

Question: Was the MSNBC reporter wrong for quizzing the young girl?

No she was not wrong to ask the question.

People on all sides of the political spectrum identify viscerally with politicians or celebrities, not just because of their actual policy positions.

That was painful. Even if I don't agree with them, I find it painful to watch people stutter and attempt to find words when being interviewed. I remember once in the town I used to live in there was a news reporter from one of the local stations and a camera man outside of the post office. I have no idea what they were asking questions about, but I walked by and shook my head when she asked if she could ask me some questions. I'm not a word smith like you and many of the folks who comment here. And even if I might know something or have an opinion, if somebody put a microphone in my face and asked me a questions, my mind would go blank ....

Hey no one forces you to come in front of mic. If you want to come on TV and sound like a complete horse's rear end then don't blame the reporter.

God save me from the conservatives.

haha Bro! I'm in the middle of writing an article about victimology sort of. I just reread John McWhorter's "Losing The Race" which is all about it - you might like it.

I'm with Wave on this one.

This is the age of ambush journalism. These same folks that get ambushed by these reporters watch enough news networks to know what the deal is.

And yes it is painful whether its someone i agree or disagree with.

It's just further proof how dumb the majority of us are.

By the same token, I still don't fully trust the media. They're only showing us what they want to show. Who knows how many actually got on there and was on top of their shyt? They'd never show us that because it wouldn't sell.

I really wish we'd move back to objective news for the sake of presenting just the facts.
